But Let's Start from the Beginning!
Hello everyone, I am the founder and owner of a workshop for the manufacture of craft leather accessories named Mr. Stitch. My acquaintance with this type of art began a few years ago.
Once, I was seeking for a high-quality leather accessory for myself. It was a surprise that I could not find any! Some were bulky others were of unappropriate quality or were badly sewed. But none had a combination of good-looking, high-quality and functionality at once. I was disappointed and came to the simple conclusion: if I want to get a brilliant accessory I have to make it with my own hands. So I started.
I picked up a piece of leather, bought a tool for processing it, and set to work. Since I have an engineering degree, it turned out to be like a piece of cake to build accurate patterns and cut leather myself. But the zest was I got involved in the work and realized that working with leather brings me inspiration and allows me to realize my ideas.
Today I have to show off many ready-made accessories: wallets and cardholders, belts and gadget covers or bags. For each of them, I developed my own design and used all the skills that I gained with experience.
And so, at the dawn of 2020, I became cramped as part of a small local workshop. I decided to provide the opportunity to buy stylish leather accessories to people around the world. So I'm glad to present you my brand Mr. Stich.
What Is Mr. Stich
First of all, this is a workshop of practical and functional leather accessories. I do each of them manually. Starting from sketches and drawings, ending with each stitch - everything in your wallet or belt is hand-made.
Handwork is not only a painstaking process but also the soul that the master puts in each thing he does. And each thing branded as Mr. Stich has its own nature: assertive or tender, elegant or brutal.
Laconic design is not only a fashion trend. This is the philosophy of my brand. I like it when a thing is as functional as possible but not overloaded with an abundance of details. And as practice shows, such accessories harmoniously complement any look.
When I started, I trained on skin samples that fell into my hands. Today, my experience, and therefore the requirements for the material, had increased. And for Mr. Stich products, I use only premium quality vegetable-tanned leather produced in Italian tanneries.
How Ideas Are Born
Each accessory goes a long way from the birth of an idea to its implementation. It just seems like a guy is sitting, taking a piece of leather - and bang! bang! turns it into a wallet or key holder in a moment. In fact, this is the real work of the architect. The idea needs to be embodied on paper, then digitalized and a drawing developed. I indicate every hole for the needle, the length of the stitch, the location of the fittings. And only then follows the cutting and assembly of the product. That is not an end! After each item is ready I test it to reveal any shortcoming and to improve it. It is hard and precise process, you shall know.
But the result is delightful. At least for me. Maybe, for you too?
